Ok people today I have this dark song for you called “Farewell Ride” by Beck, I don’t think Beck needs an introduction, but for those of us who were not near a radio during the 90’s he became almost an overnight success with his song “Loser” and hasn’t looked back since, many thought of him to be a one hit wonder but he proved all of those doubters wrong and you know as a singer / songwriter you have arrived when the great Johnny Cash covers your song, and so he did, in 1995/96 Johnny Cash covered the song “Rowboat” in his “Unchained” album which Beck wrote for his “Stereopathetic Soulmanure” album. Anyhow back to “Farewell Ride” enjoy this song notice how he actually uses a chain to give the song a dark ring….
