Anjulie - Boom

Today’s recommendation comes from Oakville, ON, by the indie singer Anjulie, born and raised in Canada to Guyanese parents of Indian decent. A self described music addict, she has been writing and composing music since her teen years.
Her music has been featured in numerous teen / tween oriented shows, mostly dealing in pop she claims her influences as varied as Annie Lennox, Lauryn Hill, U2 and Prince.
The song I’m recommending Boom, comes from her self titled debut album, the song's got a smooth jazz-meets-modern-soul feel to it, simultaneously she gives out those Nancy Sinatra esque vibes too, I like the sultry vocals, the video is also pretty decent here’s what she said about it
“Adria Petty directed it and came up with the concept. It has a goth Alice in Wonderland vibe. The imagery is Salvador Dali inspired. It's really an amazing video. It was all her. I just knew I wanted it to be dark.”
I’ll throw in an acoustic performance along with a live performance, don’t forget to checkout the Facebook Feed for an interview of hers and for House and Dance fans I'll throw in a couple of pretty decent remixes too, here’s the song
