Bon Jovi - We Got It Going On Feat. Big & Rich

Today’s recommendation comes from an old veteran from Sayreville, NJ. They have released several multi-platinum albums, have been in the business for 28 years and counting, have had several number 1 songs, they are one of my all time favorites, they are Bon Jovi.
I know recommending a Bon Jovi song sounds kinda moot, but this song ties so seamlessly with the other recommendations of this week that I just had to recommend this, plus it’s been 4 years since this album came out and they did not even release a video for it, so there is a big chance that a big majority might have missed it, even a huge fan like me missed it and only heard it in a recent concert of theirs.
The song that I’m recommending, We Got It Going On, comes from there tenth studio album Lost Highway released back in 2007, I think Bon Jovi lost their way a bit somewhere after the release of Crossroads album and that’s when their sales numbers also started missing the mark a bit, I guess they were trying something different which didn’t quite work out for them, as fans like me mostly expect anthems like Livin’ On A Prayer or Runaway, with beautiful ballads like Always here and there, but since their album Crush (my personal favorite) they reverted back to their original sound. This song also has a lot of throwbacks to their heyday anthems, the talk box, heavy riff intro, loud choruses and a taste of their latest interest country music, a guest appearance by the country duo Big & Rich, here’s the song

Here’s a live performances, from Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI. I was in the audience and had a great time, it’s amazing how at the age of 49 after some 2700 plus concerts yes 2700 plus which roughly translates to 120 concerts per year, he still has the voice to rock an arena full of people, almost 16,000 in attendance.

Here’s another amazing live performance from Tokyo, Japan with some 40,000 in the audience

Still wanna know more about them, here’s the link to their official website
