Building on the mood set by yesterday’s recommendation I have this soft and mellow song by the band Athlete hailing from Deptford, England just outside of London, They have been around since 1999 known for their brand of emotive rock mixed with electronic sounds, they bring you today’s recommendation which is Wires, this song won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song in 2006. The lead singer wrote this song about his daughter being prematurely born, the lyrics are such that if you have someone in hospital or a newborn with you they will surely bring you to tears for everybody else they are sure to bring you Goosebumps, I guess if nothing else this song is perfect for some leisure listening and getting lost in the soft vocals, here’s the song
