Hot Chelle Rae - I Like To Dance

What better words to start the weekend than I Like To Dance, and that is today’s recommendation by the band Hot Chelle Rae from Nashville, TN. The band started initially as collaboration between Nash Overstreet and Ryan Follese under the name Miracle Drug which later evolved into Hot Chelle Rae. The story behind the band’s name is quite interesting, the band is named after their first “devoted” fan Chelle Rae, they just added Hot to it, here’s what they said about it
“Hot Chelle Rae…It came from a crazy fan and a random set of words. Chelle Rae is the name of a girl pretending to be an online model and pretending to help us with “music business connections”, we thought it sounded cool, original, and just unique enough to take the shape of the music”.
The song I Like To Dance, from their debut album Lovesick Electric, is an all out Dance Rock number full of crunchy guitar hooks and loud choruses, which matches the description of their music in their own words
We wanted the music to sound larger than life, we wanted it to sound explosive and new and fun and be better than anything out there”.
I like this song, nothing special about the composition but it’s a good song to get the party going, I bet you to stand still while listening to this song, I found hints of 80s rock in it I guess that was the biggest pull for me. On another note, Ken Jenkins (Scrubs) & Stephanie Pratt (The Hills), played a cameo role in the video of the song, here you go
