This week I’m gonna let it all hang out, this week I will recommend my guilty pleasures, the songs which my testosterone induced love of crunchy guitars forbid me to listen to, the first such song is by the band which actually made me realize I could enjoy this kind of music too without betraying my love for the 80's rock, for those of you guys who frequent this blog, you guys know them very well by now, I have proclaimed my love for them in many of my previous posts and yes you guessed it right they are Dragonette, for those of you who don’t they are a Pop / Pop Rock quartet from Toronto, ON fronted by the dynamic Martina Sorbara and the band pretty much revolves around her.
The song I’m recommending is Jesus Doesn’t Love Me, from their debut album Galore, and since this is my guilty pleasure I guess I don’t have to spell out the great things about it, it’s just a pop song, catchy as hell, rightful contender for a dance floor anthem, the song just compels you to start tapping your feet, bobbing your head, drag your behind to the dance floor and start shaking it, the video is also pretty raunchy, checkout the imitation of the last supper at the end of the video, here’s the song
If you like this song you can get it from the link below
If you like to know more about them here’s the link to their Wikipedia page
Here they are live in Toronto, the audio is a little crowded by the audience
Here’s another live performance, the audio is much better but the clip ends midway in the song
Still wanna know more about them here’s the link to their official website
