Alright people if you forgot, this week’s theme is Guilty Pleasures, and in that vein today’s recommendation comes from Los Angeles, CA, by this young songstress of Portuguese decent, she is Sky Ferreira. Started off singing gospel songs in church and took Opera lessons to kick start her singing career, you might also recognize her from the Calvin Klein’s CK One ads.
The song I’m recommending is Obsession, I like the initial riff, the beat of the song, but above all I love the “Whoa oh oh oh oh oh” chorus, and even if this song is not your cup of tea I think you should appreciate the quality of her voice, I think she has a very strong voice which will serve her very well in her coming years.
The video of this song is not bad either, features Michael Madsen, I think Michael Madsen fans will love this video, and hey btw is it just me or she looks a lot like the 84esque Madonna?
