Detroit Social Club - I Am Revolution

Today’s recommendation comes from Newcastle, England, Detroit Social Club are back for their second act. I recommended one of their songs a couple of months back, if you haven’t listened to it already do hit the link near the bottom of the page, it’s a killer track.
If you forgot about them, they are a sextet who is up in arms to bring back the 60’s with revolutionary themes, gruff vocals and carefree attitudes. The band revolves around the talents of David Burn. Listening to their songs I always get this feeling that I’m listening to an act from late 60’s or early 70’s only that the sound quality of the track is improved.
The song that I’m recommending today I’m A Revolution is their latest single since their last album, they have improved their sound a lot since then, the inclusion of violins and harmonica also adds a nice finesse to the song. This song also contains the hymn like chorus which is kind of a staple of their songs, David Burn’s strong and gruff vocals are at their best and the guitar solo is also pretty neat. I’ll throw in a live performance here don’t forget to checkout the Facebook page for an interview with David Burn, here’s the song

If you’d like to know more about them, here’s the link to their Wikipedia page
Here’s a live performance of the same song
