To roundup the week of second comings, I have a band who has been here more than twice already, so technically this is not a second coming for these guys, but hey who cares, right?. Anyhow today’s recommendation comes from Toronto, ON by the band Dragonette.
If you have been frequenting this blog, you must be well familiar with these guys by now, for those of you who don’t, Dragonette are a quartet from Toronto, ON settled in London, UK now. They belt out Electro, New Wave, Pop and Pop Rock numbers. I have become a huge fan of them in the last couple of years and have no shame in saying that they are my favorite guilty pleasure.
The song I’m recommending, I Get Around, comes from their debut album Galore. It’s an unapologetic Pop song about feminine promiscuity, the song is catchy as hell and that’s pretty much all I can say about the song, the video is not too shabby either, I’ll throw in a couple of live performances here, don’t forget to checkout the Facebook page for a very good remixed version of this song and a candid interview of Martina and Dan, here’s the song
